For the first time since starting her career as a singer in the 1990's, Syrian artist Asala settled for the majority's opinion and retrieved her own without being stubborn as usual. This happened when Asala expressed her desire not to release her new album (Nos Hala) in Eid Al-Fitr, as she preferred that it would be released by the New Year's Eve.
However, Rotana (the producing company) asserted that Eid Al-Fitr was the perfect timing for releasing the album, especially that the company's schedule would be filled with numerous albums by the beginning of the year.
So, negotiations between both parties went on and on till Asala's husband director Tarek El-Erian told her that he was convinced of the company's point of view, so Asala in turn got convinced and informed the company of her approval of the album's release in Eid Al-Fitr.
Officials at the company expressed their surprise at Asala's approval, for this was so not like her! The album features eight new songs: (Ah Men Eneih), (Baa' Tabee'y), (Kana Wahman), (Etfarag Ala Nafsak), (Wala Dary), (Awaa't), (Yesmahouly) and (Noss Hala).
The album features the works of poets Siham Shishaa, Medhat El-Khoaly, Wissam Sabry, Wael Tawfeek, Khaled Tag El-Deen, Kareem Sami and Eissawy Mahmoud, composers Khaled Ezz, Jean-Marie Riachie, Hisham Nazeeh, Ramy Sabry, Tamer Ashour, Hussein El-Naggar and Mohammad Yehia and arrangers Ahmad Ibrahim, Tarek Tawakol and Ather Ashour.
Asala filmed two songs from the album: (Wala Dary) and (Yesmahouly El-Koll). Both songs are directed by Asala's husband Tarek El-Erian, and they are both getting ready to film a third song (Baa' Tabee'y) within the next few days.
