Hisham Abbas is the latest artist poached by Rotana, in a winning streak that included Warda.
The Egyptian singer was signed to the Arab media giant inside its Beirut office, in the presence of chairman Salim El Hindi,Abbas was previously signed to Egypt's Alam El Fann.
Abbas' new album, said to be 90% done , is due as early in summer as May, helped by Rotana's executive producer strategy which allows an artist to be in full charge of the album-making until he or she submits the master copy to the record company, where it should be printed and promoted.
Beirut has recently seen two music videos shot for two Abbas' songs, Koll Ma Tigi Osadi lyrics by Ayman Bahgat Qamar, composed by Mohamed Yehia and Matbattalish Qamar, Mohamed El Nadi.
The album also features songs Weqef Ezzaman, Haga Ghariba, Aghla Min El Ein and Ta'eb Albi and lyricists, songwriters, composers and arrangers Aziz El Shafei, Rami Gamal, Tomma and Tareq Madkour.
