Officials at the Egyptian Television succeeded in getting artist Sherine Abdel Wahab to sign a contract that binds her to record Ramadan's Iftar prayer, which will be broadcasted on Channel one right after Al-Maghrib prayer. The prayer is written by poet Ayman Bahgat Qmar and composed by Khaled Ezz.
Abdel Wahab was thrilled to hve been chosen for this specific work. She said that this has been her dream for many years since she was a child, even before she got tht famous.
Abdel Wahab said tat she is very happy that she will be performing something that many of the greatest Sheiks like Al-Nakshabandi and Salah El-Gamal did. According to our sources at the Egyptian TV, Abdel Wahab decided not to take any money in return for recording this prayer.
