In an exclusive statement, pop singer Saad El-Sughayar denied the accusations that say of his stealing the song (Aazmak Ala El-Asha) from song writer Salah El-Sayed, and featuring it in his album (Kolo Men Kheirak), which was released last week. The accusations say that El-Sughayar featured the song in his album after altering its title into (Aazmak Enharda Ya Habibi Ala El-Asha), with the name of another song writer (Malak Adel) on it!
El-Sughayar asserted that he had no idea whatsoever about El-Sayed’s song, and said that he had never listend to it before. El-Sughayar then added saying that he didn’t fear comparing the lyrics and composition of both songs, for he was 100% sure there was no resemblance at all between the two, though telepathy had always been an issue in many old and new works, but this didn’t mean that all such works are similar!
El-Sayed had earlier filed a complaint at the Writers and Composers Association, where he accused El-Sughayar of stealing the song (Aazmak Ala El-Asha), which he wrote seven years ago, and which was sung by artist Samir Sabry on the famous TV show (Haza Al-Massaa) at the same period.
El-Sayed said that the song was then composed by Muhammad Diaa El-Deen, and that El-Sughayar had only applied some minimal modifications on the lyrics and the composition so that it would suit his style. The Association has already started looking into the complaint.
